Scoring
The deck contains 240 card points. After 12 tricks, Re needs at least 121 points to win, while Kontra can win with 120. Winning by a larger margin and capturing special cards can add game points. This chapter explains the score.
Card points
A card's value does not depend on its suit or whether it is trump. When your team wins a trick, add the values of all four cards.
| Card | Card points |
|---|---|
| Ace | 11 |
| 10 | 10 |
| King | 4 |
| Queen | 3 |
| Jack | 2 |
| 9 | 0 |
Who wins?
In a normal game, Re wins with 121 or more card points. Kontra wins with 120 or more because it is playing against Re. The winning side receives one game point.
Bonus game points
The basic win is worth one game point. You earn one additional point for each limit you meet by keeping the other team below it:
- No 90. The other team scores fewer than 90 card points.
- No 60. The other team scores fewer than 60 card points.
- No 30. The other team scores fewer than 30 card points.
- Black (Schwarz). The other team takes no tricks.
These bonuses stack. If the other team scores fewer than 60 points, you get the game point, No 90, and No 60. The advanced chapters explain when these calls must be made.
Special points
- Fox. Capture an opponent's Ace of Diamonds.
- Doppelkopf. Win a trick worth at least 40 card points.
- Karlchen. Win the final trick with the Jack of Clubs.
- Against Re. Kontra earns an extra point when it defeats Re.
Game scores and match scores
Add the base game point and special points to get the game score. A match totals the scores from several games. Announcements can change the target and the score. The advanced chapters explain those calls.
Example end-of-game screen
This example uses the game's real score layout. Re wins with 151 card points, while Kontra finishes on 89 and captures Re's Fox for one special point.
Example end-of-match screen
The match screen tracks each player because partners can change from game to game. This example shows four games. Game 3 has a +2/-2 result.
